Playwrights such as Shakespeare, Brecht, Durrenmatt, Strindberg, Ionesco, Marlowe and Gogol appear alongside those of celebrated Polish authors, for example Słowacki, Fredro, Wyspiański, Gombrowicz, Mrożek, Witkiewicz and Różewicz.
