Ryszard Kaja exhibition poster Polish Theatre Poster exhibition Wellington Polish theatre posters for the first time in New Zealand In celebration of 250th anniversary of public theatre in Poland, a great selection of theatre posters made by some finest Polish artists was shown at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School Wellington 2015 The exhibition portrays the art of Polish theatre posters created within the last three decades. Playwrights such as Shakespeare, Brecht, Durrenmatt, Strindberg, Ionesco, Marlowe and Gogol appear alongside those of celebrated Polish authors, for example Słowacki, Fredro, Wyspiański, Gombrowicz, Mrożek, Witkiewicz and Różewicz.
